MICHELS CORPORATION - STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS required by the Contract. Michels uses a team approach to quality control. Members of the Michels Quality team include: • Michels Quality Manager • Quality Control Representatives (QCR). • Michels project management, supervisory, design, and administrative personnel provide in kind support of the QA Plan and the QC activities. • Crew foremen or leads Our Quality culture is reinforced and driven downward by upper management. 7.4 Quality Department To maintain operational integrity, the Quality Department reports independently to the Senior Vice President, rather than to divisional management. The Michels Quality Department is staffed with a core group of highly certificated professionals that are committed to Quality. They are SMEs in their specific disciplines, and cross trained and possess certifications in many other disciplines. Many are graduates of RAB QSA (now Exemplar Global) Lead Auditor Training. While each of these personnel maintains an elevated certification in at least one discipline, they all have additional certifications, and extensive construction experience. All of these personnel communicate well with all others of the Quality group, availing each to the combined composite knowledge and experience of the entire group. Michels Quality Department is responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance and Quality Control. The Quality Assurance group provides the training, tools, and techniques to achieve the quality expectations in accordance with project specifications and standards. Quality Control activities focus on inspecting, auditing, and confirming that the quality requirements are being consistently fulfilled, and auditing the construction activities to ensure the integrity and continual improvement of work processes and conformance. Michels strives to continually improve the effectiveness, efficiency and repeatability in which projects are delivered, with concentration on turning over completed projects meeting or exceeding customer expectations in performance and life cycle costs. 8 Equipment 8.1 Fleet Overview Michels is proud to own and operate one of the newest, largest and most dependable fleets in the industry. With more than 10,000 pieces of major equipment, Michels has the equipment necessary to get the job done on time and in the most demanding conditions. In addition to common construction equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, bucket/line trucks and excavators, Michels also owns hard -to -find specialty items, including Kobelco CK160OG and Manitowoc MLC300 series crawler cranes and custom -designed -and -built directional drill rigs. 36
