We believe in influencing change, creating <br />jobs, building new and more efficient infrastructure, and using innovative technologies all while <br />being environmental stewards of the land. Michels is committed to environmental leadership <br />and integrity in all aspects of its business and expects that from every employee both in the <br />office and out in the field. That's why sustainability is integrated into everything we do. Some of <br />our future environmental plans may include but are not limited to the following: <br />• Reduce Hazardous waste material by 10 percent. <br />• Reduce our solid waste stream by 10 percent by continuing and improving our recycling <br />program. <br />• Continue to reduce energy usage by 10 percent by retrofitting more efficient lighting and <br />or other systems based on a future energy audit. <br />• As building equipment upgrades occur, purchase high efficiency or Energy Star rated <br />equipment. <br />• Re -commission mechanical systems to ensure they are operating in the most efficient <br />manner. <br />34 <br />
