Pre -Employment Physicals <br />Given the nature of the positions for which Hardman Construction, Inc. employs field trades <br />personnel, the Company required pre -employment physical examinations to confirm fitness for <br />duty. Employees agree to undergo a physical exam prior to starting work or annually, as required <br />by the Company. <br />Employee Testing <br />This company has adopted testing practices to identify employees who use drugs illegally, either <br />on or off the job, as well as employees that be under the influence of alcohol on the job. It shall <br />be a condition of employment for all employees to submit to drug testing under the following <br />circumstances: <br />1. When there is "reasonable suspicion" to believe that an employee is using illegal drugs or <br />is under the influence of drugs or alcohol while at work. "Reasonable suspicion" means <br />that there is knowledge sufficient to induce a prudent and cautious Supervisor, under the <br />circumstances, to believe that a prohibited activity has occurred or is occurring <br />2. When employees are involved in on-the-job accidents resulting in personal injury or injury <br />to another employee and there is "reasonable suspicion." <br />3. When employees are involved in incidents where damage to property Hardman <br />Construction, Inc. occurs and there is "reasonable suspicion." <br />4. As part of a follow-up program to treatment for drug abuse. <br />5. As required by federal regulations, employees with Commercial Driver's Licenses, (CDLs) <br />which includes pre -licensing drug testing, random drug and alcohol drug testing, <br />reasonable suspicion drug testing and post -accident drug testing. Additional information <br />on the requirements for employees with a CDL is covered later in this policy. <br />6. As required by our clients/customers, partners, insurance carriers, and other business - <br />related entities that have a vested interest in the safety of our team. <br />Random Drug Testing <br />Random Drug Screen selections are handled by an independent contractor of Hardman <br />Construction, Inc. Company. All employees (without a CDL) are in the random drug testing pool. <br />Currently random selections are done at a rate of 25% for alcohol and drug testing. At the time <br />Hardman Construction, Inc. notifies the employee that a random test is required, the employee <br />has 2-hours to report to the designated clinic. <br />An employee exceeding the allotted two hours between notification by the company and <br />submitting a specimen to the assigned clinic, may be subject to dismissal. <br />Post -Accident Testing <br />Post -accident drug and alcohol testing may be conducted when an employee is involved in an <br />on-the-job accident or otherwise engages in unsafe job related activity that poses a danger to <br />
