<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Fritzberg and carried, the above
<br />quotations were referred to Engineering and Central Services for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID — LIBERTY TOWER EXTERIOR RENOVATIONS, DIVISION A -- PROJECT

<br />Mr. Kyle Silveus, Engineering, advised the Board that on January 22, 2019, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Silveus
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Slatile Roofing and Sheet Metal Co., Inc., 1703 S. Ironwood Dr., South Bend, IN 46613 in the
<br />amount of $274,218. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.

<br />Ms. Becca Plantz, Engineering, advised the Board that on January 22, 2019, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms.
<br />Plantz recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible
<br />bidder, R. Yoder Construction, Inc., 27453 County Road 150, Nappanee, IN 46550, in the
<br />amount of $104,000. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion,
<br />which carried.

<br />Wakarusa, IN 46573, in the amount of $71,300, Therefore, Ms, Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.

<br />Mr. Jeff Hudak, Central Services, advised the Board that on October 23, 2018, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced equipment. After reviewing those quotations, Mr.
<br />Hudak awarded the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Yard N Gard, 919
<br />E. Mishawaka Road, Elkhart, IN 46517, in the amount of $32,277.98. Mr. Michael Schmidt,
<br />Purchasing, requested the Board now ratify that award that was done without Board approval by
<br />
