And the Beard` be ing fully advised in the premAses, decides that the benefits <br />to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost <br />of the same, as reported by the City 8iv it Engineer, and thereupon takes final action <br />on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things ratified, <br />c onf irmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notice be published on the 4th , day of <br />October 1918 and the llth., day of October 1918 in a newspaper of general circulation <br />in s'aid City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said <br />improvements up to 10:00 A.M. an the 22nd. day of October 1918. The Board reserves the <br />right to reject any and all b ids . <br />Deferred hearing had an Condemtiat ion Resolution No. 52 for the opening <br />of an alley north of Madison Street from Lafayette Blvd. to the 1st. alley west, in the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above matter Attorney Chas. Drummond, Wm. Clem and Dr. Dugdale <br />Members of the School Board of this City, Attorney H. fit, Weir, representing said School <br />Board appeared before the Board and obJected to the opening ad said alley, Attorney <br />Weir stating that the School Board took• the!- pays it ion- hi at it will be a great harm <br />to the School City and the Citizens of the City of Sduth Bend ors take aby part of these <br />premises for an alley, and mead to the Board the remonstrance filed at hearing. held <br />September 25th. ,1918 at 7:15 anal explained Im-me, and stated that the School Board was <br />unanixous �, in objecting to the opening of said alley. <br />
