Co., at.........,.. 40.00 The Board awarded the contract for same to the Miller Sash & Acreen Factory at above price. The following communication received read and placed on file. Chicago, Ill. June 8m1918. The Board of Public Works, City Hall, South Band, Indiana. Gentlemen: - This is to acknowledge, with thanks, your acceptance of our recent pro- posal for the chemical testing and inspection of the asphalt paving awarded in your City during 1918, on the basis of two and one-half (*) cents per square yard for asphaltic concrete paving and three (3) cents per square yard for Sheet Asphalt paving. The character of our service to you in the future will be similar, in every respect, to that rendered inthe past. Kindly advise us, a day or two in advancem when Contractors expect -to start their asphalt plant on the near work, to enable the writer to be there in person, together with the inspector and his testing apparatus. Greene in regard to wail on building at 425 So. St. Joseph Street. Layton, Street Commissioner met with the Board and discussed Matter of paving with brick the approach to the Police garage. The Board after due consideration of paving same with brick, instructed the City Engineer to submit prices for other type of pavement for said �appraabh.
