June 8m1918. <br />The Board of Public Works, <br />City Hall, <br />South Band, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: - <br />This is to acknowledge, with thanks, your acceptance of our recent pro- <br />posal for the chemical testing and inspection of the asphalt paving awarded in your <br />City during 1918, on the basis of two and one-half (*) cents per square yard for <br />asphaltic concrete paving and three (3) cents per square yard for Sheet Asphalt <br />paving. Layton, Street Commissioner met with the Board and discussed <br />Matter of paving with brick the approach to the Police garage. The Board after <br />due consideration of paving same with brick, instructed the City Engineer to <br />submit prices for other type of pavement for said �appraabh. <br />
