Resolved further, that notices be published can the 26th. day of July 1917 <br />and on the 2nd. day of August 1917 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, <br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construe-tion of said improvements, <br />up to 10-:00 A. M. on the 7th. day of August 1917xxtx3ix. The Board reserves the right to <br />reject any and all bids. <br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 541 for pavement on Mishawaka <br />Avenue from E. line of Fifth Street to center of Nineteenth Street, -in the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, <br />In the above matter a remonstrators appeared (Attorney W. G. Crabill <br />representing - Clean Studebaker heirs) and a written remonstrance was filed. And the <br />Board being fully advised in the premises decides that, the benefits to property <br />liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated. cost of the same <br />as reported by the City C iv it Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said <br />resolution as orginally adopted, and' the same its hereby in all things ratified, confirmed <br />and approved. <br />Resolved Furth-r, that notices be publisl2dd on the 26th. day of July 1917 <br />and on the 2nd. day of ffugust 1917 in a newspaper oA general circulation insddd City <br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvement up to <br />10 00 A.M. on the 7th. day of August 1917. Attorney W. G. Crab ill represent ing ` <br />Clem Studebaker. heirs) and a written remonstrance was filed. The Board after due consideration decided to rescind said resolution. <br />Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 546 for pavement on Mishawaka Avenue <br />from Eddy Street to Center of Nineteenth Street. in the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing a remonstrator appeared (Atty. W. G..Crabill representing <br />Clem Studebaker estate and filed written remonstrance) And the Board being fully <br />advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for <br />said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City' <br />Civil Engineer, and thereupon the Board over -ruled said remonstrances and takes final <br />action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things <br />rat if ie, d c onf irmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 26th. day of July 1917 <br />and on the 2nd. day of August 1917 in a newspaper of general circulation iii said City, <br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the ennstruct ion of said Improvements. up <br />to_10:00 A.M. on the 7th. day of August 1917. The Board reserves the right to reject <br />any and all bids. <br />Property owners residing on Mishawaka Avenue appeared in regard to above <br />pavement and stated they were all unanimously in favor of said improvement if bids were <br />not to high. <br />Mr. H. E. Harter appeared before the Board in regard to pavement on Niles <br />Avenue from Napoleon Street to Howard Street. The Board ordered a resolution <br />prepared on the same. <br />
