Resolved further, that notices be published can the 26th. day of July 1917 and on the 2nd. day of August 1917 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construe-tion of said improvements, up to 10-:00 A. M. on the 7th. day of August 1917xxtx3ix. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 541 for pavement on Mishawaka Avenue from E. line of Fifth Street to center of Nineteenth Street, -in the City of South Bend, Indiana, In the above matter a remonstrators appeared (Attorney W. G. Crabill representing - Clean Studebaker heirs) and a written remonstrance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises decides that, the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated. cost of the same as reported by the City C iv it Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as orginally adopted, and' the same its hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 545 for pavement on Eddy Street from Jefferson Blvd. to south line of Uishawaka Avenue, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed. The Board after due consideration decided to rescind said resolution. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 546 for pavement on Mishawaka Avenue from Eddy Street to Center of Nineteenth Street. in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing a remonstrator appeared (Atty. W. G..Crabill representing Clem Studebaker estate and filed written remonstrance) And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City' Civil Engineer, and thereupon the Board over -ruled said remonstrances and takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things rat if ie, d c onf irmed and approved. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Property owners residing on Mishawaka Avenue appeared in regard to above pavement and stated they were all unanimously in favor of said improvement if bids were not to high. Mr. H. E. Harter appeared before the Board in regard to pavement on Niles Avenue from Napoleon Street to Howard Street. The Board ordered a resolution prepared on the same.
