viz ✓ Notices were received from the Chicago, South Bend & Northern Indiana Railway Company, by Harry R. Wair, General Counsel granting.the _City perMission to pave portion of their tracks, also designating kind of brick between txacks-. Th'e Board after due consideration referred said potices to .Ci.t7 Attorney E. F. S,.eibert to be r-4vised and' sent to company for signatures. � ✓ Mr. V. F. K ll.ey appeared before the Board in regard to pavement on Howard Street between Notre Dame Avenue and Niles Avenue, and-diseussed this matter with the Board. Concerning,the Improvement of the roadway o Miami Street from ftthh i/ line of Fox Street to north line o Ewing Avenue with asphalt, asphaltic concrete, bitulithic or brick in pursuance to resolution No. 529 this being the day for receiving and opening bids, the Board at 10:00 A.M. publicly opened and read and considered all bids. And thereupon the Board designated Asphaltic Canerete as the kind of pavement with which said street is to be improved and fixes the 4th. day of August 1917 as the t ime when pet it ions must be. f il.ed, and the Board hereby c ont infixes. this matter until the 7th. day of August 1917 at 10:00 A.M. and all bids are hereby referred to the City Engineer for tabulation and report as to the lowest and best bid. Resolved , that notices as to the assessments bs required by statute be publish ed on the 24th. day of July 1917 and on the 4th. day of August 1917` in the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the Cit y Hall on the 14th. day of August 1917 at 7:45 P.M. > Resolved further, that the entire work under the above contract be ac- cepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 2 8th. day of July 1917 and on the 4th. day of August-1917 in the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at -its office in the City Hall on the 14th. day of August 1917 at 7:45 P.M.
