Deferred hearing had on res-olution f or ' pavement on f irst alley north of Washington Avenue' -from Tayl or Street -to William Street under Improvement Resolution No. 520. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Attorney Stuart lMcKibbin appeared before the Board representing property owners remonstrating against samd Improvement. Mr-. C . APT. Studebaker appeared for said 'improvement. The Board. ordered this hearing continued until Tuesday July loth. ,1917 at 7:45 P.M. until further action by the Common Council. (Attorney Seebirt took papers in regard -to said improvement) Hearing had, on Improvement Resolution No. 533 for grade, curb and walk on west side of Miami Street from alley north of Donald Street to Ewing Avenue, in the City of South Ben4, Indiana, Upen:' s-aid- hearing norremonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides tha the benefits to property liable to be- assessed -for-said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as 'originally adopted, and the same is hereby in -all things ratified, c onf irmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 5th. day of July 1917 and on the 12th. day of July 1917 in a newspaper of general circulation .in.:said -City, stating that this Board_ will receive bids for the construction of said improve- ments up to 10:00,A.M. on the 17th, day -of `July 1917. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 530. for grade, curb and walk // on Fox Street from -West line of Oak Park 4th. Addition to Miami Street, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and. no writteit remonstrance was filed. And the Board b&4g fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said' improvements are equal to the estimated cost- of the same, as reported by the -City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final - action on said resolution as, -originally adopted and the same is hereby in rill things ratified,, c onf irmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 5th. day-- of July 1917 and on the 12th. day of July 1917 in a newsppper of general circulation in said City stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10: 00 A.M. on the 17th. day of July 1917. The Board reserves the right t6 reject any and all bids. - Hearing had on Improvement Resolution No. 527 for Pavement on Howard Street from Niles Avenue'to Notre Dame Avenue, in the City of South,Bend, IndIana. Upon said hearing remonstrators appeared but no written remonstrance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in, the premises. decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City C iv iL Eng ineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally adbpt.ed, m- d the -same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 5th. day of July 1917 and on the 12th. day of July 1917 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, stating that this Board wil receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 17th. day of July 1917. The Board reserves the right to reject any andall bids. . Resolved by the Board that at the request of the property owners on Howard Street between Niles Avenue and Notre Dame Avenue, that the width of the street be left as it is at present or 42j feet wide. ° 0
