2. Rum Village Park; Substantially complete by April 1, 2019. <br />Liquidated Damages - $500 / calendar day — Special Provisions Section XVI.B.2 <br />IV„ Bidding Overview <br />A. Plans and Specifications <br />The Contract Documents are on file and available for public inspection commencing on <br />the first advertise date during regular working hours at the Department of Public Works <br />(1316 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana), and at MACIAF 3215-A Sugar Maple <br />Court, South Bend, IN 46628. Additionally, the Contract Documents will be available that <br />same day for inspection or purchase at American Reprographics Company ("ARC", <br />located at 1303 Northside Blvd., South Bend, Indiana, 46615), http://www.e-arc.com, <br />(574) 287-2944, toll free at (800) 783-7231. There will be a non-refundable charge for <br />reproduction as set by ARC for every set of documents for all bidders. <br />B. Bid Requirements <br />Bids are due at the Office of the Board of Public Works, County -City Building Room <br />1316, 227 West Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, Indiana, 46601 until 10:30 a.m., Local <br />Time, on December 20, 2018. <br />A checklist for bidders is included in the Contractor's Bid for Public Works, sheet 1. The <br />Responsible Bidder checklist is located in General Conditions, sheet 6, and will need to <br />be completed in its entirety for the contractor to be eligible for award. All documents <br />related to the Responsible Bidder checklist may be submit electronically. <br />Acknowledgement of receipt of any Addendum to be included in bid submission. <br />Bids must be on the City of South Bend Contractor's Bid for Public Work Form, <br />accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of not less than five percent <br />(5%) of the base bid plus any alternates, in a sealed envelope noting the project name, <br />number and your company's information on the front. <br />C. Award of Bid <br />Upon award, the successful Bid provider shall supply the following bonds: <br />• Payment Bond within seven (7) days of the Notification of Award for an amount <br />equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. <br />• Performance Bond within seven (7) days of the Notification of Award for an <br />amount equal to one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of the contract amount. <br />• Contractor Warranty One (1) year warranty after the completion date on the <br />affidavit approved by the Board. Completion date to correspond to the date on <br />which the last restroom is completed. <br />
