Our team will make sure that all INDOT requirements are met whilestill
meeting the City's expectations; this is your project & we strive to be an extension of your team.
STAYING ON TACK ® MAINTAINING THE SCHEDULE ITI TI POTENTIAL ISSUES
» Anticipate potential delays & offer solutions to mitigate impacts
» Remain ready & willing to address any & all issues quickly & efficiently
» Have the right staff available to provide the right solution the first time
Our proposed RPRs have worked for INDOT (Myron) and contractors (Dale) giving them the ability to look ahead, ensuring materials are
ordered in advance to keep the project moving forward without delays.
rN4°°IE CITY'CITY'S UIINNPE"'TI NNE 13UDGE°"r uIIm a°°ili[,W III
CIS 4 DS PHASE: 2 IN CASS COUNTY
TY'
The existing poor soils types on CR 400 S led to an expensive special subgrade treatment
as part of the pavement design. This treatment include #2 stone enveloped in a special
fabric. Placement of this material posed several issues since there was only one access
point between the ends of this mile long reconstruction project. The construction method
required heavy equipment to access the newly placed stone in order to continue
placement of the materials. During the placement of the first 11000 feet, the heavy loads
caused the treatment to fail with mud pumping up through the fabric and stone.
Before this situation got out of hand, Myron shut down the project and worked with the
geotechnical engineer, INDOT soils, and the designer to come up with an alternative
subgrade treatment that worked as well or even better. The solution required the
contractor to remove the placed special subgrade, bring the roadway earth back onto the
site, and double treat the soil with cement. This process delayed the project for three
months; however, the project still finished on schedule and under budget. This was due
to Myron's persistence to find a solution that would work and meet the project schedule
and budget.
T YC ;ENHAM BRIDGE REHABILITATION IN S7r. JOSE! H COUNTY'
Susan and Dale provided an alternative on a change order for the Twyckenham Drive
Bridge over the St. Joseph River that saved St. Joseph County over $100,000.
