Our RPRs understand the City's expectations for construction <br />inspection services, so Bendix Drive is built in accordance with <br />contract documents and utilizing quality materials, and top-level <br />workmanship. We understand the value of public involvement, <br />maintaining excellent communication, looking ahead to uncover <br />issues, and providing expedient solutions. <br />RESIDENT MEETING & NOTIFICATION <br />Prior to construction, we will inform the residents of the start <br />date, schedule, and contact information. Our team understands <br />the impact projects have on the public and ensures the utmost <br />respect is given to the property owners. Our RPRs have learned <br />the value and benefit of keeping all stakeholders informed. We <br />proactively send out updates and letters informing all involved <br />parties of the project status, schedule, and upcoming changes. <br />Property owners appreciate knowing what to expect. <br />COMMUNICATION THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT <br />Communicating serves to maintain schedule, anticipate <br />and foresee obstacles, address concerns, and provide <br />timely updates to stakeholders. Key targets for successful and <br />comprehensive communication include: <br />THE PUBLIC <br />» Inform schools, businesses, & property owners <br />» Neighborhood letters & media releases <br />THE PROJECT <br />» Personal communication with property owners <br />» Bi-weekly progress meetings <br />» Finalize utility coordination items <br />PLANS T WORK <br />Our experience has shown us that a complete understanding of <br />the contract documents dPlivPrs the best possible project. We <br />accomplish this by completing the following reviews prior to <br />construction: <br />Compare plan documents, special provisions vs. item list, & <br />plans vs. field conditions <br />» Review project commitments <br />» Check quantity calculations vs. pay item list <br />» Understand ROW documents, specifically cost -to -cure items <br />to avoid misunderstandings <br />» Know utility agreements vs. special provision time -line <br />requirements <br />» Understand permits & environmental requirements <br />Our construction inspection activities include oversight of <br />construction to monitor compliance with plans, specifications, <br />and tracking quantities to verify and prepare the contractor pay <br />estimate. Our inspection team will verify materials meet required <br />specifications, and monitor traffic control activities so access is <br />clearly identified and maintained. Our RPRs will set the pre - <br />construction meeting and confirm completion dates, milestones, <br />and reporting methods required by INDOT LaPorte District and <br />Federal Highway. <br />In addition, the following items will be completed: <br />» Expedite resolution of potential issues or problems <br />» Monitor closely the contractor schedule <br />» Verify utility relocations, drive coordination, & monitor <br />schedule <br />» Ensure subcontractor approvals <br />» Identify all paperwork required to meet LaPorte District <br />requirements <br />» Confirm sampling & testing requirements <br />» Understand all unique requirements <br />» Track documents through SiteManager <br />» Complete the final construction record in accordance with <br />INDOT requirements & within INDOT's required timeline of <br />45 days after contractor's last day of work <br />
