Section 2. Sundays and Holidays: <br />(a) Work performed on Sundays and holidays will be paid at double (2x) the regular rate of pay. Holidays <br />recognized by this Agreement are New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, <br />Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, (No work shall be performed on Labor Day except to save life <br />or property). In jurisdictions where the majority of the other crafts have Veteran's Day or the Day after <br />Thanksgiving or any other holiday in their Contracts, the Teamsters will be granted the same holiday. <br />(b) When any of the herein mentioned holidays fall on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed <br />as the holiday. <br />(c) All hours worked between the hours of 12:01 a.m. Saturday and 12:00 midnight Saturday on one (1), <br />two (2), or three (3) shift jobs shall be paid at the rate of time and one half with the exception of make- <br />up days. All hours worked between the hours of 12:01 a.m. Sunday and 12:00 midnight Sunday on <br />one (1), two (2), or three (3) shift jobs shall be paid at the rate of double time. Ali hours worked on a <br />recognized holiday between the hours of 12:01 a.m. of the holiday and 12:00 midnight of the holiday <br />on one (1), two (2), or three (3) shift jobs shall be paid at the rate of double time. <br />Section 3. Reporting to Work: <br />(a) The Employer not notifying the employee at least two (2) hours prior to reporting time that there will <br />be no work that day shall give him two (2) hours' pay for reporting. If requested by the Employer, the <br />employee must stay on the job to qualify for the two (2) hour pay. All reporting time shall be paid at <br />the applicable hourly rate for that day. <br />(b) When an employee is ordered by the Employer to report for work, and because of inclement weather <br />does not go to work, he shall be paid for two (2) hours time. When the employee goes to work and <br />must stop work after two (2) hours time because of inclement weather or equipment breakdown, he <br />shall be paid four (4) hours time. If the employee works four (4) hours or more, he shall receive 8 <br />hours pay unless he must stop work because of inclement weather or equipment breakdown.. The <br />Employer may require the driver to remain at the job site during the hours for which the driver is being <br />paid. <br />Section 4. Special Provisions: <br />(a) Overtime shall be divided as equally as possible between the drivers in each classification, as these <br />classifications are required for overtime work. <br />(b) Drivers who haul men to and from job sites shall be guaranteed one half (1/2) hour overtime at the <br />beginning of the work day and one half (112) hour overtime at the end of the workday for <br />transportation of men when agreed upon by both the Union and the Employer at the pre -job <br />conference, <br />(c) Neither the Employer nor the Union will knowingly call or refer employees who are employed by <br />another Employer signatory to this Agreement. <br />(d) Wages shall be payable once a week in United States currency or checks at the option of the <br />Employer including direct deposit if the employee so chooses. In no event shall the Employer <br />withhold more than one week's wages, <br />(e) When the services of an employee are no longer required, he shall receive all of his wages due within <br />fifteen (15) minutes of his quitting time or by mail postmarked within twenty-four (24) hours of his <br />normal quitting time. If not paid within said twenty-four (24) hours, the Employer shall pay a penalty of <br />two (2) hour's pay to such employee at the employee's straight time rate of pay for each twenty-four <br />(24) period of delay after the initial twenty-four (24) hours. It is understood that said twenty-four hour <br />(24) periods shall not include Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. <br />
