ALTERNATE #5 — FILL IN SECOND LEVEL WINDOWS AT ALLEY WITH SMOOTH BLOCK This is at the alley and may be required to meet code depending on local inspector. • Remove existing glazing and window frames from nine openings along the alley and dispose of off site. Note: Earlier price for this item was based on only eight openings. • Provide and install 8" smooth face concrete masonry units. • Price now includes tenting of area and temporary heat for winter construction. • Paint new concrete block masonry units to match existing walls. Provide one (1) coat of block filler and one (1) coat of latex exterior paint. (This section of building will get another coat of paint in Alternate #8. Alternate #5 Add: $18,890.00 ALTERNATE #6 — FILL IN SECOND LEVEL WINDOWS WITH METAL This is for JUST the South and West walls of the original building AND the south two windows along the East wall most visible from Western Avenue. We will not put metal and trim on the remaining windows along the alley which are behind the power lines. • Existing glazing and window frames to remain in place at typical openings except at the alley where they will be removed so that those two openings can be filled with smooth concrete masonry units. • Provide and install horizontal channels attached to either the existing vertical mullions or the new smooth concrete masonry units (along the alley only). • Provide and install treated 2x6 trim piece attached to the face of the existing brick at window openings that do not already have a stucco trim border. • Provide and install trim metal (in color selected by City and ACS) to wrap the 2x6 or stucco border at each window opening. • Provide and install new metal siding (in color selected by City and ACS) fastened to the channels to fill in the window openings. Alternate #6 Add: $32,500.00 ALTERNATE #7 — NOT USED ALTERNATE #8 — PAINT THREE SIDES OF VA CLINIC PORTION OF BUILDING This is for the East (adjacent to the alley), South and West (as far North as the original building goes) walls of the building. • Power wash building walls. • Provide two (2) coats of latex exterior paint.
