Raff appeared before the Board and requested the Board <br />to start a resolution for the Vacation of Walnut ass per petition filed with the <br />Board on December 3rd.,1919 and approving af,plat-show ng Pulaski Street opened <br />upi The Beard ordered a resolution prepared xs for the Vacation of Wa,InAt <br />Street from lsti alley north of Indiana Avenue to Sample Streetk <br />Mr. W.m Sibley appeared before the Board in regard to making <br />manhole covers for the City, the Board decided to take this;matter up with Mr. <br />Layton Street Cormmissioner. <br />_. Thssmas Turnock, Plumbing Inspector with Dr, Freyermuth of the <br />Haalth Beard appeared before the Board and took up the matter of placing Bess pools <br />between curb And walk on O'Brien Street and Eighth Street and streets where there <br />are no sewers, asthe Health Board does not recommend the placing of cuss pools in <br />front yards. The Board granted the right to place cess pools where needed <br />between curb and -walk temporarily or until eewera are constructed and then same <br />must be connected with sewers,;and Mr., Thomas was requested by the Board too take <br />these cases up with the Board whenever one is requested. <br />i <br />City Electrician Henry appeared before the Board and discuss <br />the matter of re -wiring of old hotels in South Bend not aecording'to the code. <br />The Board instructed Mr. Henry to have :;firing put in right. <br />The Beard appointed H. W. rla�ffman, F._ C Raff and H. G. <br />Miller as appraisers to. appraise property to ba :.condemned known as let 1 ,fist. <br />addition to Riverdale- -at the corner of Mishawaksl Avenue and ninetern Street, <br />f <br />President. <br />
