and two (2) members appointed by the Employers signatory to this Agreement may, upon written <br />request of the applicant, vacate or reduce the period of suspension should the Committee determine, <br />following inquiry or investigation, in its sole and complete discretion, that equity requires such action. <br />ARTICLE' XH <br />Apprentices <br />Section 1. Hiring of Apprentices. The hiring of apprentices shall be governed by rules and regulations, <br />as amended from time to time, of the Joint Apprenticeship Committee of the Finishing Trades Institute <br />of District Council 91, Any person employed under this Agreement not designated an "apprentice" <br />under this provision shall be paid at the journeyperson rate set forth in this Agreement. <br />Section 2. Ratio of Apprentices to Joume ersons. Consistent with proper supervision, training, <br />safety, and continuity of employment throughout the apprenticeship, the ratio of apprentices to journey <br />workers shall be one to three journey workers or fraction thereof Each Employer shall employ and <br />train apprentices in the following ratio to journeyperson workers employed by the Employer: <br />1 apprentice per two (2) journeypersons <br />2 apprentices per four (4) journeypersons <br />(etc.) <br />ARTICLE XW <br />Journeyperson Wages <br />Create a Schedule of wages based on the negotiations between the Employers of the industry in <br />that Area and this District Council. These will be attached as "Appendix A".
