South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -December 21, 2007 <br />Mr. King asked if staff will take into <br />consideration the investment made by other <br />businesses on the block when evaluating the <br />proposed development. Ms. Laurent <br />responded that they certainly would. They <br />recognize the importance of these other <br />improvements and wouldn't want to <br />jeopardize them. <br />(8) Filing of Resolution No. 2425 amending <br />the South Bend Central Development Area <br />Development Plan. (Adding 118 N. Main <br />to List of Properties to be Acquired) <br />Ms. Laurent noted that. Resolution No. 2425 <br />adds 118 N. Main St. to the list of properties <br />to be acquired for the South Bend Central <br />Development Area. amending the South <br />Bend Central Development Area <br />Development Plan and sets a public hearing <br />on it. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission accepted for filing Resolution <br />No. 2425 and set a public hearing on <br />Resolution No. 2425 for 10:00 a.m., <br />January 18, 2008. <br />(9) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Title work, 118 N. Main; parking lot <br />adjacent to JMS building) <br />Ms. Laurent noted that staff has been asked <br />to complete necessary due diligence for the <br />potential acquisition of the improved surface <br />parking lot located between the <br />Commission's Main and Colfax parking <br />structure and the historic JMS building at <br />118 N.
