South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Meeting—December 13, 2011
6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.)
B. South Bend Central Development Area
(7) continued...
DTSB has the backing of many established
downtown business owners already; they
have great relationships, and the ability to
coordinate this parking management with the
other three parking lots they manage.
Upon a motion by Mr. Downes, seconded by COMMISSION ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL FROM
Ms. King and unanimously carried, the DOWNTOWN SOUTH BEND,INC.FOR PARKING
Commission accepted the proposal from MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN 2012(THREE
Downtown South Bend, Inc. for parking GARAGES AND ON-STREET ENFORCEMENT)
management services in 2012 (three garages
and on-street enforcement).
(8) Authorization requested for Director of
Redevelopment or the President of the
Redevelopment Commission to sign
Contract for Parking Management.
Ms. Leonard-Inks noted that staff has
prepared a draft contract for the management
of parking services for the city's three
garages and the on-street enforcement. The
current contract for parking services of the
garages expires January 31, 2012, and the
next business meeting of the Commission is
not until January 24, 2012. So, we
respectfully request the Commission
authorize Ms. Jones or Mr. Inks to sign on
the Commission's behalf upon final legal
revisions to satisfy the Commission's award
provisions. This will allow the new
management company to work with the
36
