Angela Blvd. South Bend, IN 46697 Re: Ignition Park - Accelerator Building Visioning and Imagery Development South Bend, IN Dear Geri: It is a pleasure for BSA LifeStructures to submit a proposal to lead a visioning and building imagery development process for the Accelerator building in Ignition Park. The goal of this process will be to explore the potential uses for the building, site options for the building and aesthetic options for the building. The desired outcome of this process is an understanding of the scope of the building and an idea of the imagery that can be utilized to support further development of the project. Further stated, this Visioning process is now more paramount than ever given the following: • the north access point into the Park is in alignment with the pond on the north side of the center circle, placing this potential building in a location of greater presence • this building, by its nature and location, could likely end up being the most dynamic and expressive building in the park; an icon • if and when data centers become a marketing component of the parks business plan, this building will help to lure potential data center clients because of the way it will elevate, but complement the design of the existing data center • due to the low cost development options for data center tenants, having this building designed and in the cue would put pressure on these tenants and developers to live up to a higher standard of design • it shows a commitment by the City to the aesthetic direction of the Park • it shows a commitment from the City to the Park which is key to local small businesses and graduate business who want a stable environment in which to grow • this design exercise will offer the City an advantage over other technology park venues when competing for clients and tenants
