Sept. 27919:�20 Board of Public Works, South Bend, Ind, Gentle0n: - You.will recall that at our request.the final hearing.of our petition for the vacation of certain parts of Grace and Ford Streets, as well as parts of certain alleys, was postponed to this date. Our negotiations with relating to the purchase of lots in this vicinity ' have been discontinued and we accordingly ask that the original petition be approved a t'the meeting of your Board this evening. We enclose "Grant of Easement" which we believe complies in every respect with the request of"your Board.. GRANT OF EASEMENT: THIS INDENTURE WITNESSETH, That Oliver Chilled Plow Works, a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Indiana and located at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, hereby grants to the City ef'South Bend, for and in consideration of one dollar, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the ful and free right is use for public highway purposes only the following described real estate in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, Beginning on the north line of Ford Street &t a paint two hundred twenty-five feet east, of the east line of Arnold Street; thence north parallel with the east line of Arnold Street one hundred fifteen and one-half.feet, more or less, to the south line of an alley; thence east 1ten feet on the south line of said alley; thence south. one hundred fifteen and one-half fees, more or less, to the north line of Ford Street; thence west of the point of beginning, all of which is located in the City of South Bend.
