CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />Skirtralls.Extruded "C" channel (E-one Style) ILOS <br />SKIRT RAILS <br />Skirt rub rails will be installed to protect the lower body and will extend the entire <br />length of the body on the curb and street sides, exclusive of the wheel well area. <br />They shall be made from custom 'C' channel that is cut at 45 degree angles on the <br />ends. The rub rail shall be bolted to the lower side wall panel with 1/4" nylon <br />spacers. A corrosion inhibitor shall be applied to the mounting holes prior to <br />installation. <br />Tape, Reflective, Red, For Extruded Skirtralls <br />SKIRT RAIL REFLECTIVE TAPE <br />Reflective tape shall be inserted into channel in extruded rubber skirtrail and <br />secured <br />with stainless steel screw at each end. Color shall be red. <br />Lights, Skirtrall, Whelen Strip (3 each side) Red/ White/ Red <br />SKIRT RAIL LIGHTING <br />There shall be three Whelen Strip-Lite Super LED 5MM series 11.5" strip lights <br />per side of the module in the skirt rail. There will be a Red Strip-Lite at the front <br />and rear of the module and a White Strip-Lite just forward of the rear wheels. <br />These lights shall flash when the Primary mode of the emergency warning lights <br />is activated. <br />Stone Guard, Frt, Diamond Plate, 17", FrUnr/Sterfing <br />FRONT STONE GUARDS <br />The lower front comers of the patient compartment shall have stone guards <br />attached to the comer extrusion. They shall be diamond plate aluminum and <br />extend from the bottom edge of the comer extrusion up 17 inches. A corrosion <br />inhibitor shall be applied to the mounting holes prior to installation. <br />Kickplate, Under -Ride Bumper, w/ Tag recess and No lights, MAV <br />REAR KICK PLATE (Under -ride) <br />Above the rear bumper and below the rear doors, there shall be a full length riser <br />of aluminum diamond plate for a protective kick panel. The kick panel shall be <br />securely fastened with ceramic coated stainless steel screws to inhibit rust that <br />could result from electrolysis and run the full rear width of the module. Pop rivets <br />are not acceptable. This kick panel shall be above the rear bumper height to allow <br />the bumper to ride under the module in case of a minor collision minimizing <br />damage to the module.
