Mr. Goodrich made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular Board meeting held on <br /> July 18, 2011 and special meetings held on July 22, 2011 and August 1,2011 as mailed. <br /> The motion was seconded by Dr. Kelly and approved. <br /> VI. Approval of Maintenance Vouchers <br /> A motion was made by Dr. Kelly to approve maintenance vouchers for July 2010 totaling <br /> $1,052,198.72. <br /> It was seconded by Dr. Kelly. There being no further discussion,the motion was passed. <br /> VII. Comments by Bill Carleton,Director of Finance <br /> Mr. Carleton addressed the Board and gave them an update on the 2012 budget. He and <br /> Director St. Clair will be meeting with the Mayor and Controller soon and with the <br /> Council by the end of the month. <br /> VIII. Comments by the Golf Operations Director <br /> 1. Mr.Nowacki commented that because of the high temperatures and humidity,turf <br /> diseases are on the increase. <br /> 2. The bunker renovation project will start next Monday. <br /> 3. Due to the high heat,the Junior Tour was also shortened by one week and some rounds <br /> were only nine holes. <br /> 4. The 18`s Superintendent's Outing was successful. Forty teams signed up to play. <br /> IX. Comments by the Maintenance Superintendent <br /> 1. Mr. Dyszkiewicz commented that a driving path in LaSalle Park to the pavilion to allow <br /> cars to unload. <br /> 2. At the Chris Wilson Pavilion,new sidewalks have been installed. <br /> 3. Energy audits are being conducted at our facilities to measure our efficiency in heating <br /> and cooling as well as lighting. <br /> 4. The improvements at the Conservatory are moving forward. <br /> 5. Tennis courts at King Center are being converted to basketball courts. <br /> 6. The lights at Boland Park have not been delivered for installation. They are expected in <br /> the next week. <br /> X. Comments by the Development Director <br /> 1. Ms. O'Connor informed the Board that Mr. Payton asked her to let them know that the <br /> Healthy Communities project will start next week. <br /> 2. The Activity Guide is finished and will be delivered to the schools next week. <br /> 3. The next Park Foundation Board will be held next week. <br /> XI.
