1. Ms. O'Connor informed the Board that most summer programs are done. <br /> 2. Fall softball started begins this week. <br /> 3. Flag football will begin August 27. <br /> 4. The Men's Major national tournament was held two weeks ago at Belleville. Thirteen <br /> teams participated. Due to inclement weather, co-champions were named. <br /> S.The Concert Series at the East Race ended yesterday,but the series at Potawatomi will <br /> continue through the month. <br /> 6. The Celtic fest will be held at Howard Park Labor Day weekend. <br /> XII. Comments by the Zoo Director <br /> 1. Director DeRosa reports that the first payroll on the new computer based system went <br /> well. Fiber lines will be installed to other areas of the Zoo. <br /> 2. A new hand washing station has been built in Zoo Farm to accommodate more patrons. <br /> 3. AEP would like access to a transformer in the northeast corner of the Zoo. They have <br /> been looking to put in a road to it. <br /> 4. A broken water line in the middle of the Zoo has been repaired. <br /> 5. They are looking forward to winter projects and are prioritizing them. <br /> Dr. Kelly asked about the progress of the memorandum of understanding. Mr. DeRosa <br /> said he had not heard anything from the Zoological Society. <br /> XIII.
