<br />AWARD BID — RAVINA PARK BOWMAN CREEK STABILIZATION — PROJECT NO.
<br />117-073A (SPECIAL LOIT MAJOR PROJECTS)
<br />Ms. Alicia Czarnecki, Engineering, advised the Board that on July 10, 2018, bids were received
<br />and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Czarnecki
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Williams Creek Management Corporation, 4620 S. County Road 600 E, Plainfield, IN 46168 in
<br />the amount of $271,710, subject to funding. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded
<br />the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — LIGHT UP SOUTH BEND — RIVERSIDE LIGHTING — PROJECT
<br />NO. 118-011A (COIT)
<br />Ms. Alicia Czarnecki, Engineering, advised the Board that on July 10, 2018, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotes, Ms.
<br />Czarnecki recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder Martell Electric, LLC, 1125 S. Walnut St., South Bend, IN 46619 in the
<br />amount of $88,716. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the quote be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which
<br />carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — CITY CEMETERY HEADSTONE REPAIRS (FACILITIES AND
<br />GROUNDS MAINTENANCE)
<br />Mr. Patrick Sherman, Venues, Parks, and Arts, advised the Board that on July 10, 2018,
<br />quotations were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those
<br />quotations, Mr. Sherman recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest
<br />responsive and responsible bidder, Stone Revival Historical Preservation, 129 Brunswick Dr.,
<br />Greenwood, IN 46143, in the amount of $165 per repair and $145 per reset for sixty-seven (67),
<br />more or less, monuments. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion,
<br />which carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — CITY CEMETERY PATH RESURFACING (COIT)
<br />Mr. Patrick Sherman, Venues, Parks, and Arts, advised the Board that on July 10, 2018,
<br />quotations were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those
<br />quotations, Mr. Sherman recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest
<br />responsive and responsible bidder, Acorn Landscaping LLC, 3680 W. Sample St., South Bend,
<br />IN 46619, in the amount of $46,830. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — BENDIX THEATER HANDRAILS AT CENTURY CENTER —
<br />PROJECT NO. 118-036A (HOTEL/MOTEL TAX)
<br />Ms. Tara Weigand, Engineering, advised the Board that on July 10, 2018, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms.
<br />Weigand recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Brown & Brown General Contractors, Inc., 124 S. Elkhart Street, Wakarusa,
<br />IN 46573, in the amount of $12,915. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — CENTURY CENTER KITCHEN DOOR INSTALLATION —
<br />PROJECT NO. 118-036B (HOTEL/MOTEL TAX)
<br />Ms. Tara Weigand, Engineering, advised the Board that on July 10, 2018, quotations were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations, Ms.
<br />Weigand recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Larson -Danielson Construction Co., Inc., 302 Tyler St., LaPorte, IN 46360,
<br />in the amount of $17,975.11. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation
<br />be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion,
<br />which carried.
