REGULAR MEETING JULY 24, 2018 226 E 1 1 Quotation was submitted by Alan Lusk Non -Collusion, Non -Discrimination Affidavit Form was completed QUOTATION: Division A $137,383.00 Division B $56,917.00 Division C $23,760.00 Total Quote $218,060.00 Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Fritzberg and carried, the above quotations were referred to Engineering for review and recommendation. OPENING AND AWARD OF QUOTATION AND APPROVE CONTRACT 2018 LAMPPOST LIGHTING PROGRAM —PROJECT NO 118-033 (COIT) Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed quotations for the above referenced project. The following quotation was opened and read: GAMA SONIC USA, INC. 6185-F Jimmy Carter Blvd. Norcross, GA 30071 Quotation was submitted by Matt Cohen QUOTATION: $35,820 Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Fritzberg and carried, the above quotation was referred to Engineering for review and recommendation. After reviewing the quotation, Ms. Alicia Czarnecki recommended that the Board award the contract to the sole responsive and responsible bidder, Gama Sonics USA, Inc., in the amount of $35,820. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which carried. OPENING OF PROPOSALS — WATER WORKS UTILITY SERVICE LINE REPAIR PROGRAM (WATER WORKS OPERATING FUND) Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed proposals for the above referenced program. He read the names of the following companies submitting proposals: NIEZGODSKI PLUMBING, INC. PO Box 3096 South Bend, IN 46619 BOB FRAME INC. 2442 Jaclyn Court South Bend, IN 46614 Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Fritzberg and carried, the above proposals were referred to the Water Works for review. AWARD BID — OFF -SITE PARKING LOT AT WAYNE ST. AND ST. LOUIS BLVD. — PROJECT NO. 117-083B (PARK BOND B) Mr. Roger Nawrot, Engineering, advised the Board that on July 10, 2018, bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Nawrot recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc., 25200 State Road 23, South Bend, IN 46614 in the amount not to exceed $379,986.95. Mr. Nawrot requested the Board award the project subject to the approval by the Board of Park Commissioners of an agreement for use of the parking lot at the Zion Church. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above, subject to approval of a parking agreement by the Board of Park Commissioners. Ms. Fritzberg seconded the motion, which carried.
