Sweeping and plowing costs should be reduced, which
would partially offset these minor ongoing operational costs.
Riverside Trail -Angela Boulevard $2,595,000 (2005-2006)
to Darden Bride
This Transportation Enhancement Activity (TEA) will provide riverfront access and recreation
opportunities in the City which will beenhanced bydevelopment of abike/pedestrian facility. This
would include a link to the Darden Road historic pedestrian bridge with two boat launch sites as well
as existing Brownfield Park, Keller Park and the Riverside Drive Local Historic District. This trail
would follow the riverbank where possible. Amenities to be developed would include fishing
platforms for the disabled and security lighting plus other similar amenities.
Fundin Source
General Capital Funds, County Option
Income Tax (COIT), and Federal
Funds
Activity Date
2005 $1,200,000 Phase II Construction
2005 95,000 Phase III Design
2006 $1,300,000 Phase III Construction
TOTAL $2,595,000
Projected Ongoing Operating Cost Impact
The Parks and Recreation Department currently mows about half of this route.
