Dr. Kelly seconded the motion and it was <br />passed. <br />4. (Cont'd) Opening of Leeper Park Tennis Center Project Bids- Pat Brown, Mike <br />Dyszkiewicz <br />Mr. Brown and Mr. Dyszkiewicz came back to the Board and recommended the Board <br />accept the base bid and alternate #3 from Brooks Construction in the amounts of <br />$382,177 and $30,707, respectively. <br />Mr. Mullins made a motion to accept Brooks Construction's base bid of $ X82,177, reject <br />alternates #1 and 2, and accept alternate #3 for $30,707. Dr. Kelly seconded the motion <br />and it was passed. <br />6. Request to Approve 2008 Fee Schedule- Susan O'Connor <br />Ms. O'Connor requested the Board approve the 2008 fee schedule that was presented to <br />the Board at the June meeting. (see attached schedule) <br />Dr. Kelly made a motion to approve the fee schedule. Mr. N~ullins seconded the motion <br />and it was passed. <br />V. Approval of Minutes <br />Mr. Mullins made a motion to appro~-~e the minutes of the regular Board meeting held on <br />June 18, 2007 as amended. The motion was seconded by Dr. Kelly and approved. <br />VL Approval of Maintenance Vouchers <br />A motion was made by Dr. Kelly to approve maintenance vouchers for June 2007 totaling <br />$1,182,437.15. Tt was seconded by Mr. Mullins. There being no further discussion, the <br />motion was passed. <br />VII. Business of the Superintendent <br />1. Superintendent St. Clair reported that the 2008 budget has been submitted. <br />2. It is possible that the Department will undertake the mowing of all City properties as well <br />as properties cited by Code Enforcement for remediation. That project is not included in <br />the bud~~et as presented. There is also a capital component of appro~mately $48,000 for <br />equipment. <br />3. We have been asked by the Mayor to take over the administration of the after school <br />program that is currently run by Community and Economic Development, as well as the <br />Building Blocks program. This program gives grants to organizations and residents to <br />beautify their properties. It has been discussed to change the way it is administered to run <br />it from the Conservatory and buy and plant flowers using a small part time crew. <br />4. The opening of the Riverside Trail is on July 19 at the Keller Park observation park at 1 <br />pm. The Mayor will open the 1.75 mile phase of the trail. The Park Department will be <br />--4-- <br />
