Allocation Area No. 1 is coextensive with that area comprising the Airport Economic <br />Development Area (AEDA), as described in the fifth whereas clause above; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission now desires to expand the boundaries of the Airport <br />Economic Development Area Allocation Area No. 1 to include the area in Expansion Area <br />No. 5 and this expanded allocation area, comprising Airport Economic Development Area <br />Allocation Area No. 1 and Expansion Area No. 5, is hereinafter referred to as the <br />"Allocation Area "; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 17.5 of the Act provides for the means for amending a <br />resolution or plan in a way that enlarges the boundaries of an economic development area <br />by not more than twenty percent (20 %) of the original economic development area; and <br />WHEREAS, there was presented at this meeting of the Commission for its <br />consideration and approval a proposed amendment to the Development Plan setting out the <br />boundaries of the AEDA as expanded, and further identifying the types of economic <br />development projects and purposes to be undertaken in the AEDA (the Development Plan <br />as amended is hereinafter referred to as the "Development Plan "), which Development Plan <br />is entitled: <br />"Airport Economic Development Area <br />Development Plan" <br />and consists of a typewritten document of 17 pages; and <br />WHEREAS, the Development Plan has been revised and considered at the meeting; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Section 17.5 of the Act provides for a public hearing to be held by the <br />Commission, at which public hearing all persons interested in the proceedings and who <br />have filed written remonstrances may be heard. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission, governing body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment, as <br />follows: <br />1. The Airport Economic Development Area, as described in the fifth whereas clause <br />above, is hereby expanded to include Expansion Area No. 5 as described in the sixth <br />Whereas clause above, and the Airport Economic Development Area, as expanded, <br />is to be known hereafter as the "Airport Economic Development Area" and is <br />AW described as follows: <br />Airport Economic Development Area (AEDA) <br />A part of Sections 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29,30,31, 32 and <br />33 in Township 38 North, Range 2 East, and Section 4, Township 37 <br />North, Range 2 East all in German Township, St. Joseph County, <br />Indiana, more particularly described as follows: <br />Beginning at the intersection of the East right of way line of Bendix <br />Drive and the Northeast right of way line of Lincolnway West (also <br />known as USR 20); thence Northwesterly along said Northeast right of <br />way line of Lincolnway West to the East right of way line of Butternut <br />Road; thence Northwesterly across Butternut Road on a line parallel <br />with and 140 feet Northerly of the survey Line S- USR20 -M <br />(referenced to plans for U.S. 31 Bypass) to the West right of way line <br />of Butternut Road; thence Northwesterly along the Northeast limited <br />access right of way line of USR 20 to a point 150 feet to the right of <br />Station 65 +00, Line S- USR20 -M; thence Southwesterly a distance of <br />300 feet along a line measured at right angles to said Line S- USR20 -M <br />to a point 150 feet to the left of Station 65 +00 on Line S- USR20 -M; <br />thence Southerly and Southwesterly along the limited access right of <br />way line of the southeast ramp of the U.S. 31 Bypass to a point being <br />170 feet to the right of Station 35 +00 on Line M at the centerline of <br />the U.S. 31 Bypass; thence Westerly a distance of 320 feet to a point <br />150 feet to the left of Station 35 +00 on said Line M; thence <br />
