Install signage east and west of the bypass interchange to <br />advertise Erskine Hills, the attractions located within South Bend <br />and the commercial node located at intersection of Ireland and <br />Michigan <br />• Facilitate and coordinate expansion of O'Brien Recreation Center <br />and Park <br />• Improve infrastructure on Michigan to widen the roadway to allow <br />for a center turn late or create a frontage road system for <br />commercial properties along west side of Michigan <br />• Stabilize retail market area along Michigan <br />•. Improve Main Street behind commercial properties with frontage on <br />Michigan <br />• Design and construct an arterial or access roadway into the <br />southeastern corner of the Kerasotes Theater property <br />• Upgrade Ireland west of Michigan to west city limits to provide <br />center turn lane and better traffic circulation <br />• Install district and city gateway and attraction signage along <br />Michigan near Bypass interchange and along US 31 South <br />• Upgrade or develop pedestrian circulation and pathway systems to <br />connect residential and commercial areas <br />• Facilitate redevelopment and land assemblage of parcels to create <br />new development opportunities <br />• Remove or realign curb -cuts along Ireland to promote more <br />organized traffic circulation <br />D. Michigan & Main Street Commercial Corridor Sub -Area <br />This sub -area consists of XXXX acres and is general described as all of <br />the properties along Michigan and Main Streets from Chippewa to Ewing. <br />This sub -area, and the larger area as a whole, share a common border at <br />Ewing with the Sample -Ewing Development Area.
