In order to provide <br />for better control of parking for the public <br />and for the school corporation, I recommend <br />that the Commission amend the Parking <br />Agreement with the School Corporation. <br />What has been worked out tentatively is the <br />idea of installing a second level of gates on <br />the upper floors which will work in <br />coordination with existing gates located near <br />the exit of the garage. Staff is requesting <br />Commission approval to prepare an <br />Amendment to the Parking Agreement and <br />finalize some terms that are sufficient to <br />capture that intent. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hojnacki, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission Legal Counsel to prepare a First <br />Amendment to Parking Agreement with <br />South Bend Community School Corporation <br />expressing terms agreeable to both parties <br />(5) Staff report on Commission-owned <br />property. (201 S. Chapin St.) <br />Mr. Laurent noted that the Redevelopment <br />Commission is owner of the property at <br />201 S. Chapin St. The property is leased to <br />the Studebaker National Museum for its <br />newly constructed museum. As part of that <br />project, the property was acquired by South <br />Bend Heritage Foundation from a residential <br />owner. The property was then transferred to <br />the City.
