NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />L Continued... <br />Mrs. Kolata explained that two appraisals have <br />been done on Huckins Tool and Die property. <br />One was done by an MAI appraiser and the <br />other was by a non -MAI appraiser. The <br />differences in value are extremely large. We <br />cannot move forward based on the two <br />appraisals that we have. The staff recommended <br />the Commission accept the proposal from Rick <br />Pitts for an additional appraisal for a fee not to <br />exceed $3500. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the RICK PITTS FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES IN THE <br />Commission approved the proposal from Rick SAMPLE -EwING DEVELOPMENT AREA. <br />Pitts for appraisal services in the Sample -Ewing (HUCKINS TOOL & DIE) <br />Development Area. (Huckins Tool & Die) <br />g. Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Revised Master <br />Plan for East Bank project area) <br />Mr. Schalliol reported that in an effort to better <br />plan for the future of the East Bank Area, in <br />light of all the proposed and planned projects, <br />the staff is requesting approval of the attached <br />Letter of Agreement with Lehman and Lehman <br />to coordinate and complete a revised master <br />plan for the East Bank Area. The scope of <br />services is to develop plans for the East Bank <br />central core, the East Bank island area, the north <br />East Bank area and the proposed East <br />Washington Historic District. The proposed <br />contract amount is not to exceed $20,000. <br />11 <br />
