South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting—September 7, 2001 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />c. Continued... <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Jones, seconded by <br />Mr. Kahn and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 1846, <br />accepting the transfer of real property from the <br />South Bend Redevelopment Authority.(Lot #4 <br />of Blackthorn Office Park) <br />d. Commission approval requested for Contract <br />for Sale of Land for Private Development in <br />the Sample -Ewing Development Area. <br />(Miami Auto Glass) <br />Mr. Schalliol noted that the Commission <br />previously approved the sale of property at the <br />corner of Michigan and Ohio Streets to Miami <br />Auto Glass. This is the Contract for Sale of <br />Land for that property. <br />Miami Auto Glass is currently operating in a <br />1,144 square foot facility at 1430 Mishawaka <br />Avenue in the River Park area. The <br />combination of their business growth and the <br />pending sale of their property to the adjoining <br />business, Time Systems, Inc., has resulted in <br />their plans for construction of a 2400 square <br />foot facility at 916 South Michigan Street on <br />the northeast corner of Michigan and Ohio <br />Streets. The project is scheduled to have all site <br />improvements completed by the end of the 2001 <br />construction season. The development time line <br />for this project is accelerated due to company's <br />need to be relocated to this facility before the <br />fall and winter business season. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded by <br />Mr. Caldwell and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the Contract for Sale of <br />I <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 1846, <br />ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />FROM THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY.(LOT 94 OF BLACKTHORN OFFICE <br />PARK) <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CONTRACT FOR SALE OF <br />LAND FOR PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT IN THE SAMPLE - <br />EWING DEVELOPMENT AREA.
