South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting— September 7, 2001 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />k. Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Title work in <br />the East Bank) <br />Mr. Williams explained that the Commission <br />wishes to acquire property in the East Bank area <br />for parking to support future development. In <br />order to acquire the land we need title work, <br />appraisals, and survey work on the property. <br />Items 6. k., 6. 1., and 6. m. relate to the <br />acquisition of these properties. Staff <br />recommended the Commission accept the <br />proposal from Metropolitan Title Company for <br />title work in the East Bank area in the amount of <br />$2250. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by Mr. <br />Faccenda and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposal from <br />Metropolitan Title Company for title services in <br />the South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(East Bank area) <br />1. Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Appraisals in <br />the East Bank) <br />Two proposals were received for appraisal work <br />in the East Bank area. One from R. E. Pitts & <br />Assoc. in the amount of $11,250, and the other <br />from Jerome E. Michaels MAI for $12,000. <br />Two proposals are needed. Staff recommended <br />the Commission accept both of the proposals for <br />appraisal work in the East Bank area. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by Mr <br />Faccenda and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the proposals from <br />13 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />METROPOLITAN TITLE COMPANY FOR TITLE <br />SERVICES IN THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA. (EAST BANK AREA) <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSALS FROM <br />JEROME E. MICHAELS AND R.E. PITTS FOR <br />APPRAISAL SERVICES IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA.
