South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Special Meeting— September 27, 2002 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />B. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1912 approving the <br />market value of retail space in the South <br />Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Michigan Street Shops, 129 S. Michigan) <br />Mr. Williams reported that Resolution <br />No. 1912 sets the fair market rent for <br />property located at 129 S. Michigan Street, <br />currently known as Copier's Plus, at $11.50 <br />per sq ft. This amount was established by <br />averaging appraisals from Farrington <br />Appraisals, Inc. and R. E. Pitts & <br />Associates. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Ms. Jones and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 1912 <br />approving the market value of retail space in <br />the South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Michigan Street Shops, 129 S. Michigan) <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />Assignment of Lease in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Quizno's <br />Classic Subs, Michigan Street Shops, <br />131 S. Michigan Street) <br />Mr. Williams reported that Mr. David <br />VanHooey of Fort Wayne, Indiana is <br />requesting approval by the Commission for <br />an Assignment of Lease. This will allow <br />Mr. VanHooey to take over the management <br />and operation of Quizno's Classic Subs <br />located in the Michigan Street Shops. There <br />will be no lapse in the occupancy of the <br />premises and the new entity will remain a <br />Quizno's. <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 1912 <br />APPROVING THE MARKET VALUE OF RETAIL <br />SPACE IN THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA.
