South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting —April 17, 2003 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />Ms. Greene noted for the record Commissioner <br />Blake entered the meeting. <br />B. Sample -Ewing Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval and ratification <br />requested for proposal for maintenance <br />services for property located at 601 W. <br />Broadway in the Sample -Ewing <br />Development Area. (South Bend <br />Stamping Plant) <br />Mr. Laurent reported that staff solicited a <br />proposal from Baker General Maintenance <br />to conduct property maintenance activities <br />for property located at 601 W. Broadway, <br />known as the South Bend Stamping Plant. <br />Baker General Maintenance has been <br />performing the property maintenance since <br />the Commission acquired the property on <br />March 19, 2002. The conditions of the <br />proposal and billing terms are as follows: <br />► $20.00 per hour billing rate for on -site <br />work activities (scheduled or as- needed). <br />► Five (5) hours of scheduled time per <br />week to conduct security and <br />maintenance duties. <br />► $40.00 per hour billing rate for snow <br />plowing (conducted only after six (6) <br />inches of accumulation). <br />► Billing will be weekly. <br />The proposal has a total cost of $5,200 per <br />year, plus any additional on -site work <br />requested by redevelopment staff. The term <br />of the agreement will begin April 14, 2003. <br />Staff recommends approval and ratification <br />of the Baker General Maintenance proposal. <br />L <br />COMMISSIONER BLAKE ENTERED THE MEETING. <br />
