6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(5) continued... <br />proposal is $100. Staff recommends <br />accepting the proposal from Meridian Title <br />Corporation. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, seconded <br />by Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and authorized <br />staff to retain Meridian Title Corporation <br />based on the scope of services and fee <br />proposed. (Title work, 106 S. St. Louis <br />Blvd.) <br />(6) Commission authorization requested to <br />reimburse for property management fees <br />paid inadvertently for property located in <br />the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. (401 E. Monroe, Key Bank Drive <br />Thru) <br />Mr. Mathia reported that on December 31, <br />2002, the Redevelopment Commission <br />closed on a contract to acquire property <br />located at 401 E. Monroe, known as the Key <br />Bank Drive Thru. Section R -7of the Rider <br />to that document specifies that on the <br />closing date, the Buyer shall assume all of <br />the rights and obligations of the Seller <br />pursuant to the designated Maintenance <br />Services Agreement. Key Bank <br />inadvertently paid invoices for the months of <br />January and February, 2003 totaling $1,070. <br />Staff has confirmed with Cressy and Everett <br />Property Management that the fees were <br />paid by Key Bank. Staff is requesting the <br />Commission approve reimbursement in the <br />amount of $1,070 to Key Bank for the <br />property management fees paid in error. <br />W <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA AND <br />AUTHORIZED STAFF TO RETAIN MERIDIAN TITLE <br />CORPORATION BASED ON THE SCOPE OF <br />SERVICES AND FEE PROPOSED.
