South Bend Central Development Area <br />(2) continued... <br />Mr. Williams reported that the property is a <br />commercial establishment; therefore, bids <br />were requested from two (2) MAI certified <br />appraisers exclusively. The proposals are as <br />follows: <br />R. E. Pitts & Associates, Inc. $3,900 <br />Jerome E. Michaels, MAI $3,800 <br />Two appraisals are required to establish fair <br />market value and the staff recommends <br />accepting the proposals from R. E. Pitts & <br />Assocates and Jerome E. Michaels, MAI. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Kahn, seconded by <br />Mr. Faccenda and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and authorized <br />staff to retain R. E. Pitts & Associates, Inc. <br />and Jerome E. Michaels, MAI based on the <br />scope of services and fee proposed. <br />(Appraisal services at 122 -126 S. Michigan <br />Street, Osco Drug Store) <br />(3) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />South Bend Central Development Area. <br />(Appraisal services at 209 E. Bids <br />were requested from two (2) MAI certified <br />appraisers exclusively.
