South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting— December 19, 2003 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Public Hearings <br />(1) continued... <br />Ms. Greene noted that Resolution No. 2014 <br />is an amendment to a Development Plan <br />governed by Indiana Code 36 -7 -14 -17.5 and <br />before approving the proposed amendment, <br />the Commission must make the following <br />findings: (1) the amendment is reasonable <br />and appropriate when considered in relation <br />to the original resolution or development <br />plan and purposes of the Redevelopment Act <br />and; (2) the resolution or plan, as amended, <br />conforms to the comprehensive plan for the <br />City of South Bend. <br />Mr. Rock noted that the Public Hearing file <br />was complete and requested the following <br />items be entered Into the record: (1) Copy of <br />the Notice of Hearing; (2) Copy of <br />Resolution No. 2014; (3) Affidavits from the <br />Tri County News and South Bend Tribune <br />that the Notice of Public Hearing was <br />published in those newspapers on December <br />5, 2003; (4) Statement from staff that <br />affected property owners and registered <br />neighborhood associations were notified; <br />and (5) As of 10:00 a.m. this morning, no <br />written remonstrances were received. <br />Mr. Hunt opened the Public Hearing on <br />Resolution No. 2014 and asked if there was <br />anyone from the public who wished to <br />speak. <br />Mr. Jack Roberts of the Madison Center <br />addressed the Commission and expressed <br />the Madison Center's full support of the <br />on <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 2014 <br />EXPANDING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SOUTH <br />BEND CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA, <br />EXPANDING THE ALLOCATION AREA FOR <br />PURPOSES OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING AND <br />AMENDING THE SOUTH BEND CENTRAL <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA DEVELOPMENT PLAN. <br />
