Redevelopment Commission Meeting <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting— October 8, 2004 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />C. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(2) continued... <br />to provide and facilitate access to the grantor <br />and grantee's exterior doors and dumpster <br />areas. The asphalt pavement will also extend <br />northward 10 ft. in width on the vacated alley <br />behind the Chapin- fronted residences only so <br />far as it currently exists." <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED THE GRANT OF <br />Mr. King and unanimously carried, the EASEMENT BETWEEN THE SOUTH BEND <br />Commission approved the Grant of Easement REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND NORTHERN <br />INDIANA HISTORICAL SOCIETY, INC. RELATED <br />between the South Bend Redevelopment TO THE STUDEBAKER NATIONAL MUSEUM <br />Commission and Northern Indiana Historical RELOCATION PROJECT. <br />Society, Inc. related to the Studebaker <br />National Museum Relocation Project. <br />(4) Commission approval requested for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area. (Map and <br />legal descriptions) <br />Mr. Mathia noted that the eastern boundary <br />of the South Bend Central Development Area <br />must be expanded in order to fulfill certain <br />obligations contained in the development <br />agreement between the Redevelopment <br />Commission and Underwriters Laboratories, <br />Inc. (Environmental Health Labs). <br />Wightman Petrie, Inc. has submitted a <br />proposal to prepare a revised map of the area <br />and a map of the expansion area together <br />with legal descriptions. The cost of the <br />proposed work is $520. The Commission is <br />being asked to approve the letter agreement <br />and authorize funding up to $620 to cover the <br />costs of the work plus any materials and <br />contingencies. <br />11 <br />
