Redevelopment Commission Meeting <br />Rescheduled Regular Meeting — October 22, 2004 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />D. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(4) continued... <br />Jerome Michaels submitted a bid of $3,900 <br />and R.E. Pitts a bid of $3,700. Both <br />individuals stated that they could have the <br />appraisal completed within 30 days of the <br />notice to proceed. <br />The Redevelopment Commission is <br />requested to approve the proposals submitted <br />by Jerome Michaels and R.E. Pitts. Staff <br />recommends approval. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. King and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission the request for proposals for <br />professional services in the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and accepted the <br />proposals from R.E. Pitts and Jerome <br />Michaels for the scope of services and fee <br />proposed. <br />(5) Filing of Resolution No. 2105 amending <br />the South Bend Central Development Area <br />Development Plan and setting a public <br />hearing on Resolution No. 2105 at 10:00 <br />a.m., November 5, 2004. <br />Mr. Mathia noted that Resolution No. 2105 <br />will expand the boundaries of the South Bend <br />Central Development Area and the South <br />Bend Central Development Allocation Area <br />IA tax district to include Expansion Area <br />No. 7. This Expansion Area takes in the <br />remaining portion of the UUEHL campus <br />that is not currently in the SBCDA. It also <br />rw takes in a parking lot on the northwest corner <br />of Washington and St. Louis that was <br />12 <br />COMMISSION THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA AND ACCEPTED <br />THE PROPOSALS FROM R.E. PITTS AND JEROME <br />MICHAELS FOR THE SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />PROPOSED. <br />
