South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />IL Regular Meeting — May 20, 2005 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />E. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) continued... <br />Staff recommends accepting the proposal <br />from Danch, Harper & Associates, Inc. in the <br />amount of $7,842 and requests approval for a <br />not to exceed amount of $8,500 to cover <br />additional fees and/or contingencies. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Hunt, seconded by <br />Mr. Blake and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved the request for <br />professional services in the Airport <br />Economic Development Area and authorized <br />staff to retain Danch, Harper & Associates, <br />Inc. based on the scope of services and fee <br />proposed with a not to exceed amount of <br />$8,500. <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />Contract for Sale of Land for Private <br />Development. (RMS Development, LLP, <br />Lot 2A Toll Road Industrial Park) <br />Mr. Schalliol reported that in January 2005 <br />staff began working with Majority Builders <br />who were interested in purchasing Lot 2A in <br />the Toll Road Industrial Park. Lot 2A is the <br />last parcel of property the Commission owns <br />in the park. Majority Builders has been using <br />the property for several mouths through an <br />Indemnification Agreement. The documents <br />are complete and ready to be executed by the <br />Commission so the process can move to <br />closing. <br />Ms. Greene noted that Lot 2A is <br />topographically challenged. The property, in <br />its current state, is not developable because <br />20 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE REQUEST FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE AIRPORT <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA AND <br />AUTHORIZED STAFF TO RETAIN DANCH, HARNER <br />& ASSOCIATES, INC. BASED ON THE SCOPE OF <br />SERVICES AND FEE PROPOSED WITH A NOT TO <br />EXCEED AMOUNT OF $8,500. <br />
