Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />proposal for professional services in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(Survey work, Olive Road & U.S. 20, Olive <br />Road and Nimtz Parkway) <br />Mr. Schalliol reported that a proposal was <br />received from Danch, Harper & Associates, <br />Inc. to provide survey services for two (2) <br />projects in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />Project #1 relates to the proposed acquisition <br />of the Farrington parcel located south of the <br />intersection of Olive Road and U.S. 20. The <br />survey work for this project includes a <br />boundary survey and the preparation of legal <br />description for an annexation of the property <br />into the City of South Bend. An additional <br />fee has also been proposed in the event that a <br />minor subdivision needs to be prepared. The <br />total amount for all Project #1 work is <br />$3,471. Staff requests approval for a not to <br />exceed amount of $4,000 to cover additional <br />fees and/or contingencies. <br />Project #2 relates to the future disposition of <br />property north and east of the intersection of <br />Olive Road and Nimtz Parkway. The survey <br />work for this project includes a boundary <br />survey and the preparation of a minor <br />subdivision if determined to be required as <br />part of the disposition process. The total <br />amount for all Project #2 work is $4,371. <br />Staff requests approval for a not to exceed <br />amount of $4,500 to cover additional fees <br />and/or contingencies. <br />19 <br />
