wastestreams from industrial wastestreams, and such other conditions as <br /> mav be necessarv to protect the POTW and determine the User's <br /> compliance with the requirements of this Division. <br /> � The Director ma�require any,person discharging into the POTW to <br /> install and maintain, on their propertv and at their expense, a suitable <br /> stora�e and flow-control facilit,v to ensure eQUalization of flow. An <br /> individual wastewater discharge permit may. be issued solely for flow <br /> equalization. <br /> � The Board or its desi�nee ma�quire Users, other than residential <br /> users, to supplv pertinent information on wastewater flow characteristics. <br /> Such measurements, tests and analyses shall be at the User's expense. If <br /> made bv the Citv, an appropriate charge may be assessed to the User at the <br /> Citv's option. <br /> � Grease, oil, and sand interceptors shall be provided bv the User as <br /> necessarv for the proper handlin� of wastewater containin� excessive <br /> amounts of �rease and oil, or sand. All interception units shall be of a <br /> tvpe and capacitv acceptable to the Board of Public Works or its desi�nee, <br /> and shall be so located to be easilv accessible for cleanin� and ins ecp tion• <br /> Interceptors or traps shall be constructed of impervious materials capable <br /> of withstanding abrupt and extreme chan�es in temperature and shall be of <br /> substantial construction, be �as tight and equipped with easilv removable <br /> covers. Specifications for �rease, oil, and sand interceptors shall be in <br /> accordance with provisions of the Indiana Plumbin� Code, as amended. <br /> Such interceptors shall be inspected, cleaned, and repaired bv the User at <br /> their expense. , <br /> � Users with the potential to dischar�e flammable substances mav be <br /> required to install and maintain an approved combustible �as detection <br /> meter. <br /> (b) Accidental discharges/slug�Discharge Control Plans: <br /> (1) � All sSignificant �Industrial t�Users SIU's shall �e submit <br /> an accidental discharge/slug dischar�e control plan, ••�'��^'� „'n^ :° �„'�;°�* <br /> to �p�� the Director everv two (2) years or when substantial <br /> chan�es occur to the components of the plan. Each plan is subject to <br /> �proval by the Director, and shall; thereafter; be implemented by the <br /> si��r� �� �tUser. The Director may require anv User to <br /> develop, submit for approval, and implement such a plan or take such <br /> other action that mav be necessary to control Slu� Dischar�es. <br /> Alternatively, the Director mav develop such a Qlan for an�User. � <br /> ��s An accidental dischar�e/slu�dischar�e control plan shall address, at <br /> 30 <br />
