Mr.Nowacki requested that the quote be awarded to Peerless Midwest for$26,988. <br /> The Board requested that he take the quotes and review them and come back later in the <br /> meeting with his recommendation. <br /> 7. Request to Open and Award Quotes for Studebaker Pro Shop Roof-Randy Nowacki <br /> Mr.Nowacki presented three sealed quotes to the Board for consideration. They were <br /> opened and read aloud. They were as follows: <br /> a. Dudeck Roofmg- $54,425 <br /> b. Slatile Roofing- $49,850 <br /> c. Lawmasters, Inc.- $59,730 <br /> Ms. Greene noted that Lawmasters did not include a bid bond or non collusion affidavit. <br /> She determined that they were nonresponsive,but read their quote into the record. <br /> Mr.Nowacki requested that he be given time to look over the quotes and come back later <br /> in the meeting with his recommendation. <br /> 8. Request to Approve Memorandum of Understanding with District 11 Little League- <br /> Thomas Bodnar <br /> Director St. Clair informed the Board that the Legal Department is still working on the <br /> memorandum and asked that the item be moved to the next meeting. <br /> 9. Request to Dispose of Obsolete Treadmill at Howard Park Senior Center-Rose Kaufinan <br /> Ms. O'Connor requested that a treadmill at the Howard Park Senior Center be declared <br /> obsolete and allow us to dispose of it. It is unable to be repaired. <br /> Dr. Kelly made a motion to declare the treadmill obsolete. Mr. Mullins seconded it and it <br /> was passed. <br /> V. Approval of Minutes <br /> Mr. Mullins made a motion to approve the minutes of the regular Board meeting held on <br /> February 22, 2011 as mailed. The motion was seconded by Dr. Kelly and approved. <br /> VI. Approval of Maintenance Vouchers <br /> A motion was made by Dr. Kelly to approve maintenance vouchers for February 2011 <br /> totaling $732,486.28. <br /> It was seconded by Mr. Mullins. There being no further discussion,the motion was passed. <br /> VII. Business of Director St. Clair <br /> 1. Director St. Clair reported that he received notice that the City's contribution for the <br /> Public Employees Retirement Fund will go up by one and three quarter percentage points <br /> to 8.75%in 2012. This is a percentage of gross wages for full time employees and will be <br /> an increase of about $80,000 in 2012 for our department. <br /> 2. The Ice Rink has closed for the season. There were some refrigerant leaks found in the <br /> slab. These will need to be repaired before the next season. <br /> 3. Baseball fields are being constructed at Boland and Sheridan Parks. They should be <br /> ready for play by the end of May. <br /> 4. The rugby fields at Voorde Park are being prepared. <br /> 5. City Energy Director Jonathon Burke has secured funding to replace the lighting at King <br /> and Black Centers, as well as the Maintenance Garage. This should result in energy <br /> - -3 - - <br />
