He handed out a listing of upcoming Zoo events. <br /> 3. The Zoo will participate in Communiversity Day on April 2. <br /> 4. Water quality testing for the otter pool will be done by the City. <br /> 5. The last Winter Day was held February 12. 758 people attended. 186 were paid <br /> admissions. <br /> 6. During Landscape Architecture Month,they will be working with the Zoo to prepare a <br /> charrette of areas that will be utilized in the future. <br /> IX. The annual report will be available by mid April. <br /> 3. A $5,000 sponsorship has been secured for the Potawatomi Concert Series. <br /> X. Comments by the Recreation Director <br /> 1. Ms. O'Connor reported that the Camp Fair was held at the end of February. 350 people <br /> attended. <br /> 2. The Mom/Son dance will be held this Wednesday night at the Palais Royale. <br /> 3. River City Basketball League ended last Saturday. <br /> 4. The Skate Park will open this weekend. <br /> 5. Leeper Tennis Center will open in a couple days. <br /> 6. The City Wellness Program Lunch and Learn Program has started this month. <br /> 7. Ball field rentals start April 4. <br /> 8. Softball registrations are almost full. <br /> 9. Planning is ongoing for the Blues and Ribs Fest. <br /> XI. Comments by the Golf Operations Director <br /> 1. Mr.Nowacki requested approval of the Peerless Midwest quote for the well drilling. <br /> Mr. Mullins made a motion to award the well drilling to Peerless Midwest for$26,988. <br /> Dr. Kelly seconded the motion and it was passed. <br /> 2. Mr.Nowacki requested that the Studebaker Pro Shop roof project be awarded to Slatile <br /> Roofing for the amount of$49,850. <br /> Dr. Kelly made a motion to award the roofing project to Slatile. Mr. Mullins seconded the <br /> motion and it was passed. <br /> 3. The open house at Erskine had 147 attendees. <br /> - - 4 - - <br />
