400 <br />Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. A. H. Rice absent. <br />JHearing given on Condemnation Resolution No. 31 for the opening and extending <br />of Ottawa Court across the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Ry. Company right of way. <br />In the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above ,matter Mr. W. A. McInerny Attorney for the Lake Shore & Michigan <br />Southern Ry. Company appeared before the Board in the interest of the Lake Shore & <br />Michigan Southern Ry. Company and filed a remonstrance. Also Mr. Gabriel attorney <br />for the petitioners appeared. The Board after due consideration decided to deferr <br />all action on the above condemnation until -Tuesday July 21st.,1914 at 7:45 P.M. <br />Hearing had on improvement Resolution No. 325 for the pipe sewer on Indiana <br />Avenue from Leer Street to Marine Street In the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />And the Board being Hilly advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to pro- <br />perty liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost <br />of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action <br />on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things rati- <br />fied, confirmed and approved. a <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 9th., day of July91914 and <br />on the 16th., day of July,1914 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, <br />stating that this Board will receive bids fo the construction of said improvements <br />up to 10:00 A.M. on the 29th., day of July,1914. The Board reserves the right to <br />reject any or all bids. <br />Hearing had on improvement resolution No. 323 for pipe sewer on Blaine Avenue <br />abd Terraee -Street from Woodward Avenue to Vassar Avenue, In the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to pro- <br />perty liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of <br />the same, as reported by the City Civil Enginneer, and thereupon takes finalaction <br />on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things rati- <br />fied, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 9th., day of July,1914,and <br />on the 16th., day of July,1914 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City, <br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of saidnimprovements <br />up to 10:00 A.M. on the 29th. , day of July,1914. Also the first alley <br />north of La Salle Avenue from Main Street to Lafayette Street, In the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. <br />And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to the <br />property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equa 1 to .the estimated cost <br />of the same, as reported by the City C vil Enginneer, and thereupon takes final action <br />on said resolution as origignally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things, rati- <br />fied, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the lday of August,1914 and on <br />the Sth., day of August,1914 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City,statig <br />stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements <br />tp to 10:00 A.M. on the lst. day of September,1914 The Board reserves the right to <br />reject any or all bids. <br />
