<br />paver -tent on Dunham Street from Harris to Arnold Street.
<br />ANS,WHEREAS, said. City o.f South Bend., Indiana, by and through its Beard of
<br />Public Works has consented to said assignment and has entered into contract with the
<br />said T.C.Barn.es for the performance of said contract according to the said bid and
<br />contract of the said C. H.Defrees,
<br />AND WHEREAS, said T. C.Barnes has furnished bond guaranteeing the daithful per-
<br />formFi. ace of said contract,
<br />NO?N,TIEREFORE, th,6-'Board o Public Works of the City of South Bend., Indi 4,11a,
<br />for and on behalf of said City., de hereby release aid forever discharge the said C.
<br />H.Defrees from any and all liability by reason of the execution of said contract on
<br />June 26,1913, covering the construction of the brick pav rient on Runlam Street from.
<br />Harris to Arnold Street, and do hereby release and feever discharge the, said C.H.
<br />Defrees _and the American Surety Company of New York -from any and all liability by
<br />reason of the execution and delivery of a certain bond dated June 26.1913, in the
<br />sum of Two Thousand. Four Hundred nine ($2409. 00) Dollars guaranteeing the perform-
<br />ance of said contract, hereby releasing and canceling said Bond and releaseing and
<br />dischar�in.g the principal and surety therein..
