REGULAR MEETING <br />APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND - 2015 W. WESTERN AVENUE <br />JUNE 15, 1981 <br />An application for an open air stand at 2015 W. Western Avenue was <br />received from The Dawg House to sell hotdogs on a yearly basis. Mr. <br />Leszczynski noted that the Board has not yet received the inspection <br />reports from the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the Health <br />Department. The owner was present and inquired why this had to be done <br />since this is just a renewal of his present stand. Mr. Hill explained <br />to him that last year the Board decided to require annual inspections <br />on renewals and new applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the open air stand <br />application was continued until the necessary reports are received. <br />APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND - 2118 W. WESTERN AVENUE <br />An application for an open air stand at 2118 W. Western Avenue was <br />received from Cristela Rivera to sell food on a yearly basis. Mr. <br />Leszczynski noted that the Board has not received reports from the <br />Health Department or Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office. The <br />owner of The Dawg House spoke to the Board and said that Mr. Rivera <br />is operating without a city license and it also illegally wired.. <br />Mr. Hill said the city was aware of this. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the open air stand <br />application was continued until the necessary reports are received. <br />APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND - 300 LOGAN STREET. AT JEFFERSON <br />An application for an open air stand at 300 Logan Street, at Jefferson <br />was received from Mr. James W. Gesto to sell fresh fruits and <br />vegtables for the summer months. Mr. Leszczynski noted that this <br />request is received every year and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br />and the Building Department have no objection. Health Department <br />approval is not necessary. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded <br />by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the open air stand application of <br />James W. Gesto was aprpoved, and referred to the Deputy Controller's <br />Office for issuance of the permit. <br />REQUEST BLOCK PARTY - 4000 BLOCK EASTMONT DRIVE <br />A request was submitted from Norval J. Williams, 4022 Eastmont Drive, <br />for a block party in the 4000 block of Eastmont Drive on the 4th of <br />July from 8:00 a.m, to 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the <br />referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and <br />Division for review and recommendation. <br />request was <br />the Police Traffic <br />REQUEST TO SOLICIT FUNDS AT INTERSECTIONS (MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY) <br />A request was received from the Muscular Dystrophy Association to <br />run a canister drive at various intersections of the city on Sunday, <br />July 12 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. The intersections requested <br />are as follows: <br />Miami and Lincolnway -East <br />Eddy and Jefferson <br />Entrances of Scottsdale Mall <br />Entrances of University Park Mall <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the request to solicit funds at intersections was referred <br />to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division <br />for review and recommendation.
