REGULAR MEETING APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND - 2015 W. WESTERN AVENUE JUNE 15, 1981 An application for an open air stand at 2015 W. Western Avenue was received from The Dawg House to sell hotdogs on a yearly basis. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Board has not yet received the inspection reports from the Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office and the Health Department. The owner was present and inquired why this had to be done since this is just a renewal of his present stand. Mr. Hill explained to him that last year the Board decided to require annual inspections on renewals and new applications. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the open air stand application was continued until the necessary reports are received. APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND - 2118 W. WESTERN AVENUE An application for an open air stand at 2118 W. Western Avenue was received from Cristela Rivera to sell food on a yearly basis. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Board has not received reports from the Health Department or Neighborhood Code Enforcement Office. The owner of The Dawg House spoke to the Board and said that Mr. Rivera is operating without a city license and it also illegally wired.. Mr. Hill said the city was aware of this. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the open air stand application was continued until the necessary reports are received. APPLICATION FOR OPEN AIR STAND - 300 LOGAN STREET. AT JEFFERSON An application for an open air stand at 300 Logan Street, at Jefferson was received from Mr. James W. Gesto to sell fresh fruits and vegtables for the summer months. Mr. Leszczynski noted that this request is received every year and the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Building Department have no objection. Health Department approval is not necessary. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the open air stand application of James W. Gesto was aprpoved, and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of the permit. REQUEST BLOCK PARTY - 4000 BLOCK EASTMONT DRIVE A request was submitted from Norval J. Williams, 4022 Eastmont Drive, for a block party in the 4000 block of Eastmont Drive on the 4th of July from 8:00 a.m, to 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and Division for review and recommendation. request was the Police Traffic REQUEST TO SOLICIT FUNDS AT INTERSECTIONS (MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY) A request was received from the Muscular Dystrophy Association to run a canister drive at various intersections of the city on Sunday, July 12 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. The intersections requested are as follows: Miami and Lincolnway -East Eddy and Jefferson Entrances of Scottsdale Mall Entrances of University Park Mall Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the request to solicit funds at intersections was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting and the Police Traffic Division for review and recommendation. It was noted that the Muscular Dystrophy Association has requested permission from the malls also. 1 J 1
