REGULAR MEETING <br />APPROVAL OF ST. JOSEPH RIVER RUN - MAY 16, 1981 <br />APRIL 27, 1981 <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Light- <br />ing, recommended approval of the following street closings in <br />conjunction with the St. Joseph River Run to be held on Saturday, <br />May 16, 1981, starting from Leeper Park: <br />Closing of Riverside Drive from Michigan to Bartlett and <br />the closing of Bartlett from Michigan to Riverside Drive. <br />The closing of Riverside from Michigan to Lafayette will <br />be at the discretion of the police traffic officers and <br />barricades will be provided if this closing is necessary. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF CHET WAGGONER LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE - MAY 16, 1981 <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Light - <br />ing, recommended approval of the request of the Chet Waggoner Little <br />League for a parade on Saturday, May 16, 1981, commencing at 8:30 a.m. <br />starting at the Knights of Columbis Hall at 815 North Michigan Street, <br />proceeding via Park Lane, Lafayette, Navarre, Portage and Boland, <br />and commencing at the park in the 3300 block of Riverside Drive. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Kernan and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF MICHIANA BLOOD DONORS' RUN - MAY 23, 1981 <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Light- <br />ing recommended approval of the request of the Michigna Blood Donors <br />to hold a run on Saturday, May 23, 1981, commencing at 9:00 a.m., <br />utilizing the North Riverside Drive route from Leeper Park to Pinhook <br />Park, subject to the following: <br />Both races (the 2 -mile and the 6 -mile) will start at <br />the same time, as opposed to a staggered start indicated <br />in the letter of request The race will commence in <br />Leeper Park west of Lafayette and will cross Riverside <br />at Lafayette and remain on the river side of Riverside <br />Drive for the duration of the race to Pinhook Park. <br />Riverside Drive will only be closed from Lafayette to <br />Park Lane and this will be only during the start of <br />the race. After the start of the race, it will be <br />the officers' discretion as to how long Riverside <br />Drive in that area remains closed. <br />It was noted that use of the city parks, for the race had been <br />approved by the Park Board, and the appropriate Certificate of <br />Insurance was on file in the Board office. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above recom- <br />mendation was approved. <br />APPROVE VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL PARADE (HOPE CHAPEL <br />CHURCH OF GOD) - JUNE 6, 1981 <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Light- <br />ing, recommended approval of the request of the Hope Chapel Church <br />of God for its annual Vacation Bible School Parade in the area bounded <br />by Vernon and Marine, Indiana and Ewing, on June 6, 1981, starting <br />at 1:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. <br />Hill and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVE ST. ADALBERT'S /CORVILLA RUN - JULY 19, 1981 <br />Mr. Ralph J. Wadzinski, Manager of the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, <br />recommended approval of the request of St. Adalbert's Church to hold <br />the Corvilla Run on Sunday, July 19, 1981, at 6:00 p.m., subject to <br />the following: <br />
