St. Joseph Materials 2.00 ton *It was noted that, in cases where two bids for a particular item were awarded, it was felt this would be to the city's advantage in the event the low supplier could not furnish the materials. APPROVE FINAL CHANGE ORDER AND PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT (CURBS AND SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS, BLAINE AND CALIFORNIA - ARCO ENGINEERING Mr. Leszczynski advised that Change Order No. 1 (Final) from Arco Engineering Construction for the curb and sidewalk improvements on Blaine and California was in the amount of a decrease of $4,471.37 for miscellaneous items, thereby bringing the contract in line to reflect actual costs. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the change order was approved. Mr. Leszczynski submitted the Project Completion Affidavit and recom- mended approval. It was noted that the total cost of the project was $73,728.63, and the maintenance agreement would run to April 27, 1984. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was approved and the Main- tenance Bond was filed. FILING OF PETITION FOR RESTRICTED RESIDENTIAL PARKING (WEST NAVARRE) Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, a petition bearing 30 signatures requesting the designation of restricted residential parking on Navarre, from Portage on the west to Lafayette on the east, was referred to the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting for review and recommendation. ACCEPTANCE OF IRREVOCABLE LETTERS OF CREDIT An Irrevocable Letter of Credit on behalf of Jack Hickey Associates, drawn on the First Bank and Trust Company in the amount of $800.00 was submitted with respect to installation of sidewalks for Kensington Farms East PUD. A similar Letter of Credit on behalf of Donlon - Lofgren - Maenhout and Associates Architects, drawn on St. Joseph Bank & Trust Company in the amount of $30,000.00 was submitted with respect to pavement and curbing at Laurel Woods Apartments. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Hill and carried, the above Letters of Credit were accepted and filed. APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE TO RECEIVE BIDS -.STREET SWEEPERS Mr. Sean Watt, Director of the Division of Transportation, requested permission to advertise to receive bids for two 1978 or newer, re- conditioned dual gutter broom street sweepers, in accordance with the specifications submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Hill, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request was approved, with bids to be received by the Board at its meeting of May 11, 1981. 1 1
